Cotillion Courses: Teaching Grace, Confidence, and Leadership

At Reading Righting Arithmetic Inc., we are excited to offer Cotillion Courses, a timeless tradition that combines etiquette, social skills, and leadership training. Rooted in history yet highly relevant today, cotillion classes are designed to help students build confidence, poise, and respect for themselves and others.

What is Cotillion?

Cotillion is a structured course in manners, etiquette, and social dancing. Traditionally associated with young people’s introduction to society, today’s cotillion focuses on teaching essential life skills that never go out of style—such as respect, courtesy, confidence, and proper social interaction.

Program Highlights

  • Etiquette Training – Table manners, introductions, thank-you notes, grooming, and respectful communication.

  • Social Graces – How to carry oneself with confidence in formal and informal settings.

  • Public Speaking & Confidence – Building the ability to converse with peers and adults, speak in front of groups, and lead with assurance.

  • Cultural Awareness – Understanding traditions of respect and how they apply across different cultures.

  • Social Dancing – Instruction in ballroom and contemporary partner dances, teaching rhythm, cooperation, and teamwork.

Who Can Join?

Cotillion courses are open to students of all backgrounds, typically ages 8–18, with sessions tailored to different age groups. Adult refresher sessions can also be arranged for professionals seeking to sharpen etiquette and networking skills.
